MP Police Recruitment 2026 Age Limit (as on 19-04-2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 33 Years (UR / EWS), 38 Years (Reserved / HG / Govt Employees)
  • Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.

Qualification

  • UR / OBC / EWS: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent
  • ST: 8th Class or equivalent
  • Candidates must have knowledge of any one instrument from List “A” (mandatory) and List “B” (desirable for bonus marks).

Pay Scale

  • Rs 19,500 – ₹62,000
  • Stipend (1st Year): 70% of the minimum pay
  • Stipend (2nd Year): 80% of the minimum pay
  • Stipend (3rd Year): 90% of the minimum pay
  • Allowances: DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances as per government norms.
  • Pension: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (effective from 01.01.2005).

Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the following minimum physical standards (male only; no relaxation allowed at any stage):

  • Minimum 5 cm chest expansion is mandatory wherever applicable.
  • No relaxation in physical standards for any category.
  • Measurement will be done by the committee on the notified date. Late reporting will not be allowed.

Selection Process

Recruitment will be conducted in three phases:

  1. Skill Test (Screening – Phase-I)
    • Candidates will be tested on any one instrument from List “A” (mandatory).
    • This is a qualifying test only (no marks).
    • Only successful candidates will proceed to Phase-II.
  2. Band Vadana Test (Phase-II – 75 Marks)
    • Trade Test (List “A” instrument): 60 Marks
    • Bonus Marks (List “B” instruments): 15 Marks (5 marks per instrument, maximum 15)
    • Minimum qualifying marks:
      • UR / OBC / EWS: 50%
      • SC / ST: 40%
    • Three times the number of advertised posts (vertical category-wise) will be called for Interview based on cut-off.
  3. Interview (Phase-III – 25 Marks)
    • Based on trade knowledge, personality, general knowledge, expression, sports, etc.
    • Final merit list prepared on the basis of Band Vadana Test (75 marks) + Interview (25 marks) = 100 marks.
  • Tie Breaker: Higher age will get preference.
  • Final selection is subject to Document Verification, Medical Examination and Character Verification.

How to Apply

Application Mode: Online only through MP Online portal.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Visit the official MP Online website and register.
  2. Fill the online application form with all mandatory details.
  3. Upload required documents and recent photograph.
  4. Pay the application fee online (if applicable).
  5. Submit the form and take printout of the application for future reference.
  6. Keep the Application Number safe – it will be required to download the admit card.
  7. Aadhaar registration is mandatory.

Note: Only male candidates are eligible. Female candidates need not apply.

General Instructions

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens and MP domicile for reservation/age relaxation benefits.
  • Mere submission of application does not guarantee eligibility or call for test.
  • Candidates must carry original photo ID (Voter ID, PAN, Aadhaar, Driving Licence or Passport) + Aadhaar card / e-Aadhaar / Aadhaar number / VID at every stage.
  • All required original certificates (age, education, caste, HG/Ex-Servicemen etc.) must be produced at Document Verification.
  • Government / Semi-Government employees must submit NOC from their employer at the time of joining.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
  • No TA/DA will be paid except for SC/ST candidates appearing in Band Vadana Test / Interview (as per rules).
  • The number of vacancies may increase or decrease.
  • Selected candidates will be on 3 years probation and must complete mandatory training.
  • Selected candidates will not be posted in their home district.
  • They must serve in the allotted unit for a minimum of 5 years before any transfer.
  • All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts in Bhopal.
  • MP Police reserves the right to cancel/modify the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
