The total number of vacancies for UPSSSC Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 is 560 posts under the Directorate of Medical & Health Services, Uttar Pradesh. The category-wise vacancy distribution is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria for UPSSSC Pharmacist 2026

1. Educational Qualification

As per Uttar Pradesh Bheshajik Seva Niyamavali, 1980 (Part-4, Rule-8), candidates must possess a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institution and must also be registered with the State Pharmacy Council, Uttar Pradesh to apply for UPSSSC Pharmacist posts.

2. Preferred Qualification (Adhimani Arhata)

As per Rule-9 of Uttar Pradesh Bheshajik Seva Niyamavali, 1980, preference will be given to candidates who have either served in the Provincial Army for a minimum period of two years, or have obtained the 'B' certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

3. Age Limit

The age limit for UPSSSC Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 is:

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years
• Age Relaxation: As per UP Government rules — SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories will get relaxation as notified from time to time.
• For UP State Government Employees: 5 years relaxation in upper age limit as per relevant government order.
• Age Calculation Date: 1st January of the year of recruitment (or 1st July if post is advertised between 1st July to 31st December).

4. Nationality

Candidates must be Indian citizens as specified in the official notification.

5. PET Eligibility Condition

Only those candidates who have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and have been issued a score card by UPSSSC are eligible to apply for this Main Examination. Candidates who scored zero or negative marks in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted.

Selection Process for UPSSSC Pharmacist 2026

The selection for UPSSSC Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 will be based on the following process:

• Shortlisting for Main Examination: Based on normalised scores of PET-2025. Candidates will be shortlisted at 15 times the number of vacancies (up to the final cut-off mark at 2 decimal places).
• Main Written Examination (Likhit Pariksha): One objective-type question paper with 100 questions, total 100 marks, duration 2 hours (120 minutes). Negative marking of 25% (i.e., ¼ mark) for each wrong answer.
• Document Verification: For selected candidates after the written exam.

Eligible candidates can apply online for UPSSSC Pharmacist 2026 by following these steps:

1. Visit the official website: upsssc.gov.in
2. On the homepage, go to the Live Advertisement Segment and click on the relevant advertisement (Vigyan Sankhya-01-Pariksha/2026).
3. Login using your PET-2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile/email.
4. Your personal details from PET-2025 will be auto-populated. Verify and fill in the required educational qualification details.
5. Upload Photo and Signature (auto-fetched from PET-2025 registration — no changes allowed).
6. Fill in Other Details (additional qualifications if any, permanent and correspondence address).
7. Read the Declaration carefully, select all checkboxes and click Save and Submit.
8. Pay the application fee online (₹25) via Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI or SBI e-Challan.
9. After successful fee payment and reconciliation, your application form will be auto-submitted. Download and print the application form for future reference.
10. Fee reconciliation and application amendment can be done up to 05/04/2026.

• Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and received a score card from UPSSSC are eligible to apply for this Main Examination.
• Candidates scoring zero or negative (absolute or normalised) marks in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
• All reserved category candidates from Uttar Pradesh must mention their category in the application form. Only one (most beneficial) reservation will be applicable if a candidate claims multiple categories.
• Candidates who are not domicile of Uttar Pradesh will not be eligible for reservation benefits and will be treated as General/Unreserved.
• EWS candidates must possess an EWS certificate issued between 01-04-2025 and 29-03-2026 (application closing date), based on income of financial year 2024-25 and valid for financial year 2025-26.
• Date of Birth will be verified only from the High School (Class 10) certificate. No other document will be accepted for age proof.
• Male candidates having more than one living wife, or female candidates married to a person who already has a living wife, will not be eligible.
• Candidates currently employed in Central or State Government must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
• The Commission will not contact candidates individually. All notifications will be published on the official website upsssc.gov.in only. Candidates must check the website regularly.
• Providing false or incorrect information in the application may result in cancellation of candidature and debarment from future examinations.
• Use of unfair means, misbehaviour, or any misconduct in the examination hall will lead to cancellation of candidature and debarment as per UP Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act-2024.
• Application amendment is allowed only up to 05/04/2026 for permissible fields (correspondence address, EWS/horizontal reservation details, qualification details, and marital status). No amendment is possible after this date.
