Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Only Female Candidates are eligible for all posts.
• Principal: Post Graduate (Hindi/English/MSc in relevant subject) + B.Ed./Training + minimum 4 years teaching experience in Class 9-12 OR equivalent Junior High School experience.
• PGT Hindi: MA Hindi + BA with Sanskrit / Shastri from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University.
• PGT English: Post Graduate Degree in English from recognized University + B.Ed. or equivalent training (preference to candidates having Education Degree/Diploma).
• PGT Maths / Physics / Chemistry / Biology: MSc / MA in relevant subject as per UGC norms (detailed qualifications given in notification).
• Computer Science: MCA / M.Sc. Computer Science / B.E./B.Tech (Computer) / DOEACC ‘A’ Level or equivalent.
• Lab Assistant: Intermediate (Science) + Diploma in Laboratory Techniques OR High School + relevant Diploma.
• Office Superintendent/Clerk: Intermediate + Computer knowledge (CCC or equivalent) + Typing speed.
• Care Taker / Cook / Peon / Watchman: Class 8 passed (female only; night stay compulsory for Care Taker, Cook, Peon, Watchman).

Salary / Stipend

• Principal: ₹30,000 per month
• PGT (all subjects) & Computer Science: ₹22,000 per month
• Care Taker: ₹24,200 per month
• Office Superintendent/Clerk: ₹12,430 per month
• Lab Assistant / Peon / Watchman: ₹7,147 per month
• Cook: ₹6,433 per month

Age Limit (as on 01.04.2025)

• Principal: Minimum 30 years – Maximum 45 years
• All other posts: Minimum 25 years – Maximum 45 years
• Maximum age for continued service in KGBV: 60 years

Important Dates

Selection Process

• Merit list based on academic marks weightage for teaching & technical posts (High School 10%, Intermediate 10%, Graduation 20%, Post Graduation 20%, Training 30%).
• For Cook, Peon, Watchman & Care Taker: Interview / Skill Test.
• Document verification from original issuing authorities.
• Tie-breaker: Higher age, then English alphabet order of name.

General Information/ Instructions

• Applications accepted only through Registered Post / Speed Post. No other mode entertained.
• Separate application for each post.
• Self-attested copies of all certificates must be attached.
• Envelope must mention “Post Name & Subject” on top.
• Two self-addressed envelopes with ₹55 stamp each must be enclosed.
• Incomplete / late applications will be rejected.
• Number of posts may increase or decrease.
• Selected candidates will work on 11 months 29 days contract.
• Night stay compulsory for Care Taker, Cook, Peon & Watchman posts.
