Indian Air Force has released the IAF Agniveervayu Sports Recruitment 2026 Intake 02/2026 notification inviting online applications from outstanding unmarried Indian male sportspersons for recruitment trials as Agniveervayu (Sports) under the Agnipath Scheme.

Eligible 10+2, Diploma and Vocational qualified candidates with prescribed national/international sports achievements can apply online from 23 March 2026 to 29 March 2026 at agnipathvayu.cdac.in, and appear for IAF Agniveervayu (Sports) recruitment trials scheduled from 08 to 10 April 2026 in New Delhi.

IAF Agniveervayu Sports Intake 02/2026 – Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit

• Date of Birth: Candidate must be born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009 (both dates inclusive).
• Upper Age on Enrolment: Maximum 21 years as on date of enrolment (for those clearing all stages).

2. Marital Status

• Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
• Candidates must undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period; marriage during engagement will lead to discharge.

3. Educational Qualification

Science Subjects (any one):

• 10+2/Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and English from recognised Board with minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English, OR
• 3 years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/IT) with 50% aggregate and 50% in English in Diploma or in 10+2/Matric, OR
• 2 years Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics with 50% aggregate and 50% in English in Vocational or in 10+2/Matric.

Other than Science Subjects (any one):

• 10+2/Intermediate in any stream with 50% aggregate and 50% in English, OR
• 2 years Vocational Course with 50% aggregate and 50% in English in Vocational or in 10+2/Matric.

4. Sports Achievements

• Represented India in Junior/Senior International competitions recognised by IOC/IOA in notified disciplines, OR
• Minimum 5th place in Junior Nationals, Senior Nationals, All India Inter University, or Khelo India Nationals in listed sports, OR
• Represented State/UT in National/All India Inter University/Khelo India in team events.
• Special conditions apply for Cricket, Shooting and Chess (BCCI trophies/NSCC rankings/FIDE rating ≥ 2150).

5. Medical & Physical Standards

• Minimum height 152 cm; chest 77 cm with minimum 5 cm expansion.
• PFT: 1.6 km run in 7 minutes + 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 20 squats within prescribed time.
• Visual standard: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6, with specified refractive limits; other IAF medical standards apply.

• Registration Fee: ₹100/- plus applicable taxes to be paid online via Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking during application at agnipathvayu.cdac.in.

Agniveervayu (Sports) also get risk & hardship, dress, travel allowances, ration, clothing, accommodation, LTC, medical and CSD facilities as per IAF rules; no gratuity or pension is admissible.

How to Apply for IAF Agniveervayu (Sports) Intake 02/2026

1. Visit the official IAF Agniveer portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in/ during 23–29 March 2026.
2. Register with a valid email ID and mobile number and complete online application with personal, educational and sports details.
3. Upload scanned copies (JPG/JPEG) of required documents: 10th & 12th/Diploma/Vocational certificates, passport photo, signature, thumb impression, parent/guardian signature (if below 18), and up to 5 sports certificates.
4. Pay the registration fee of ₹100/- plus taxes through the online payment gateway.
5. Submit the form and download/print the application and e-call/admit letter for the recruitment trials.
6. Report at the trial venue in New Delhi on the date and time mentioned in the admit card with all original documents and photocopies as listed in the notification.
